A brand new take on a traditional 1930’s style walking shoe. This Norwegian welted hiker showcases premium calf leather with the Sweeney vintage treatment – the shoes are made in blond leather and washed to create a ‘worn in feel’, before dyeing and meticulous antique polishing by hand.
The upper has and a series of antiqued brass D-rings to keep a good flexible fit, with a padded collar and a back pull tab. The supple bellows tongue is a traditional feature to prevent gaps in the upper. A Norwegian welt is a favoured construction for hikers, as it provides extra stability and protection, with the leather welt covering the join between the upper and the sole; we've opted for the St Moritz rubber outsole, which has a practical cleated tread with a cleated rubber top-piece on a leather stacked heel.
